To support small businesses along St. Clair Avenue’s Corso Italia Business Improvement Area, I completed a detailed trade area market analysis to help existing and prospective entrepreneurs understand the area's market opportunities.
This process involved undertaking an inventory of existing businesses and comparing their presence to the household expenditures of local residents to identify new business opportunities in the area. This analysis identified several new market opportunities, including the need for a dry cleaning and hardware store.
The analysis also included defining the trade area for the main street to help businesses understand their customers demographically, as well as their expenditure habits and media preferences. This information was used to improve marketing and engagement with those in the trade area.
